I’m a Wellingtonian and have known about the beautifully restored Wellesley for several years now so when it came to choosing a venue for our wedding reception, this would definitely have to be the nicest venue in Wellington city and an easy location for your guests to access.

Then to add to this, not only is the look of the venue important for your special day but also the service they provide. The customer service of the staff is outstanding. Our main contact point was the Functions Co-ordinator but in dealing with other staff as the day approached and on the day, the rest of the staff were also very friendly and courteous. All our guests had a fantastic time. I’d also like to thank the team for their flexibility in discussing food and drink options for the evening and in general on the evening.

Clarice, the Functions Co-ordinator whom I had regular contact with is fantastic. From my initial enquiry right through to the day, Clarice was always friendly, responsive and helpful. I organised my wedding from Sydney so Clarice and I mainly communicated via email. Clarice always made sure she answered and covered all my questions and responded promptly. Clarice was also able to provide her suggestions, ideas and advice to ensure the evening was a success.

When you work with Clarice, you know she is dedicated and committed to what she does because she wants you to be happy with their venue. As my wedding was in early January, she had to put up with emails from me as the day got closer on her days off. Then on the day, she also added a few extra touches of her own that were appreciated. It was really important to me that in organising this huge life event that I was working with someone whom I enjoyed dealing with. Clarice helped to make the experience easy and was such a pleasure to work with.

Thank you to the Wellesley team for their extra touches on the night. We came back to our room and were pleasantly surprised as to what we found there. It was completely unexpected but very impressive.  This demonstrated their attention to detail. However, I won’t reveal these touches as this will spoil it for any other married couple.

Thank you everyone for making our evening such a magical success. I was pretty confident at the time I had made the right decision in choosing the Wellesley Boutique Hotel and it is without a doubt now that I clearly had - Zofia and Hayden, January 2010

Our  Function at the Wellesley was a great success, it is a wonderful venue and the room and table looked wonderful.
The staff were very professional and helpful and the food was delicious. Thanks to the Front of  House and Kitchen Brigade. I have to say on behalve of The Chaine des Rotisseurs Wellington, a fantastic evening, we'll sure  be back - Johan, December 2009
